![]() I guess the real question here is whether or not Outlook 2016 on Win 10 does indeed support MFA or not. Even though I didn't think it was the case, I also tried an app password, still didn't work. Give it the correct password, it just sits there for a while and comes back Fire up Outlook 2016, it asks for a password (as expected) but it's the traditional Windows password dialog box. ![]() One device left to test a Win10 Pro w/Office 365 local install. ![]() It would not have been successful on these devices. So, that tells me our 365 subscription type is fine for MFA, as is the process for enabling MFA on a per-user basis, or Not an app password, and then the screen that followed requested the TOTP code, which was given, and everything worked great after that. In all cases, the real password was entered, The password box had the Office 365 look and feel to it, as if it were a framed web page. ImmediatelyĪfter enabling it, Outlook 2016 on Mac, and Outlook on iOS (phone and tablet) all prompted for a password to be entered. ![]() I enabled two factor on a particular user as a test. I have found numerous threads related to Outlook 2016 not working properly with MFA, most with incorrect replies about the 365 plan needing to be an enterprise plan, version issues, etc.
